The NVRH West Wing Expansion was phased into several projects. This project was part of the first phase of adding 4,500 square feet to the Emergency Department, adding new emergency treatment infrastructure including nine exam rooms, two trauma rooms, a dedicated decontamination shower room, and a unique central staff station area with a clerestory extending up through the roof to allow natural light into the space. Additional work was done to the surrounding site that include concrete block retaining wall, parking lot and lighting, walkways, and ambulance shelter at the Emergency Department entrance.
