What was formerly the Sacred Heart Convent in Newport, VT was fully gutted and renovated into permanently affordable apartments. An existing one-story building was demolished so that construction of a new three-story addition and walkout basement with indoor tenant storage units could be built onto the existing two-story convent. The entire building hosts 26 apartments along with a community room and office for on-site services, and features a small terrace at the front of the building. Site work included renovation of the existing parking area, trenching for utilities, development of sidewalks, and landscaping.
