This project involved phased renovations and an expansion of the Twin City Subaru dealership. The renovations encompassed 6,600 square feet of existing service bays and 5,400 square feet of showroom, sales, parts, and office areas. A new 13,000 square foot addition was constructed, featuring a 6,300 square foot service area, 1,600 square feet of additional showroom space, 1,800 square feet of service drive-through bays, and 3,300 square feet for parts storage, office areas, and restrooms.
The project required meticulous planning to ensure the dealership remained operational throughout construction. Key construction elements included general demolition, interior fit-up, metal stud framing, Gypsum Wall Board installation, painting, overhead doors, new mechanical systems, exterior finishes, site work, stormwater management, updated plumbing and electrical systems, and enhanced sprinkler and fire alarm systems. Multiple bidding phases and early awarding of crucial packages, such as mechanical, electrical, fire suppression, and steel, facilitated efficient progress and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
