This project transformed individual spaces in the state offices building into two rooms for legislative committees with support spaces. The existing space has served many functions throughout its life, starting as the boiler room, to later having a mezzanine added to create offices. Scope included demolition of the entire interior space, new plumbing and mechanical systems, electrical and communication upgrades as well as all new finishes to provide a consistent look with the historic statehouse. By renovating this space, statehouse staff now have the flexibility to move committees from the main floor statehouse meeting rooms, allowing those spaces to return to public use.
