Skilled Nursing Facility

Randolph, Vermont

Project Type: Health Care
  • OWNER: Gifford Medical Center
  • ARCHITECT: Morris Switzer Environments for Health
  • DELIVERY METHOD: CM

This project involved constructing a 28,000 SF nursing home for the Gifford Medical Center. This nursing home is now one of the smallest in the State of Vermont, with 30 beds that offer round-the-clock card and restaurant-quality meals in a vibrant family-like community setting.

Inside Menig, the occupants have access to a centralized nursing station, a dining room, an upper kitchen, a tub room, a full-service beauty salon, and administrative offices. The idea behind this building was to create a village center that contains private and semi-private rooms and dedicated living rooms.
