Renovations to an occupied facility, including 34 units, and a community area for seniors or people living with disabilities. Renovations included an overhaul of the elevator, replacement of the heating and ventilation systems, electrical upgrades, elimination of an underground oil storage tank, numerous energy upgrades, new windows, kitchen cabinets, appliances, water saving plumbing fixtures and new flooring and paint. Solar panels were added to the roof to provide the hot water for the building. Work at the lower level community space preserved some of the original building’s historic details. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Olivia Beleau of AHEAD said of the project:
“Attention to detail and not disturbing the historic fabric of the properties was critical. You all did a great job on that!”
