April 28th, 1980 was the first day of work for Mike Hulbert here at H.P. Cummings Construction Company. It is hard to believe it but that was 40 years ago! Mike has spent his entire 40 year working career with H.P. Cummings, starting as a Field Engineer on the George D. Aiken Center at the University of Vermont. Within this 40-year span Mike has gone from a young man straight out of Norwich University working in the field on construction projects to becoming an owner of that same company! That is quite an accomplishment!
Mike has been involved in many projects over the years; a few to mention being the Pavilion Building next to the Capital Building in Montpelier, the Arts and Science Building at UVM, ECHO located at Burlington waterfront, and Eagles Landing for Champlain College in downtown Burlington. Currently Mike is guiding the HULA Project located on Lake Champlain in Burlington.
All of us here at H.P. Cummings would like to congratulate Mike on his 40 years of commitment and dedication to not only H.P. Cummings the company, but to all its employees as well.
