Green Building ExperienceH.P. Cummings has been an advocate of GREEN BUILDING for over ten years.
Our first major experience with Green building preceded LEED® Certification. Vermont Law School is known for its focus on Environmental Law. H.P. Cummings built their new classroom building - Oakes Hall, which received the Vermont Governor's Award for Excellence in Pollution Prevention in 1999 and is an early model of affordable sustainable design. H.P. Cummings was honored to be chosen as the Construction Manager for ECHO at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain which became the first LEED® certified building in the State of Vermont. Our LEED® experience as of October 2011 includes 1 Certified, 3 Silver, 7 Gold, and 3 Platinum certifications. H.P. Cummings recognizes that "Building Green" is important to the environment and to our future. We look forward to being a contributor to the promise of a healthier and brighter tomorrow.
